Community Spirit
Whilst responsibly socially distancing, I have probably seen more of my neighbours in this past week than I have in months. It has been a joy to snatch the occasion, brief chat to ensure everyone is well and find out what they are doing with their time.
I have discovered that some are developing their drawing skills through online activity groups. Some are revelling in precious family time. One neighbour is attempting, after many mistakes, to make skirting boards for his house. Others are dyeing their hair or taking the opportunity to grow beards. All acts of creativity and defiance against the challenging situation this terrible virus has put us in.
