Social Distancing day 41: 27th April 2020
Reading.
As a teen I used to devour books, often reading 2 or 3 at a time, concurrently.
As an adult, somehow, reading has become a luxury. Something indulgent that you only have time for in your holiday home or hotel room.
The self-isolation has created a situation where I am able to reconnect with reading, but I confess it to still be a struggle. There are so many distractions at home. Television, social media, family, household chores, the news, anxiety, boredom. It’s difficult to concentrate on one thing.
A book needs your undivided attention.
